The Slow Film Festival is back for it’s first in person festival since 2019!
Join us for a weekend of screenings, talks and discussion on the art of slow cinema and the creative potential of slowing down. Our program of films ranges from new short and mid length films, artist in focus sessions and screenings of rarely seen films from slow cinema's history.
The festival is an opportunity to connect with fellow filmmakers, curators and enthusiasts in exploring the artistic, political and spiritual possibilities of slowness and duration in cinema. Screenings will be accompanied by Q&As and there will be an after party on the Saturday evening after the final screening of the day.
The Festival has moved from it’s usual home in Mayfield to the Good Shepherd Studios in Leytonstone, London. It's a suitably liminal spot, still a part of the city but on the edge of Epping Forest and Wansted Flats. In the breaks you can choose to socialise, explore Leytonstone or find some solitude in the woods. We are very excited to welcome you on the 21-22nd October.
Tickets/ Accessibility:
There are two tiers of pricing for the tickets. The Annex is a lower price as it is a slightly smaller room and the Q&A sessions will be live streamed from the auditorium.
Please book for the Annex if you have access needs.
